 Alberto Fortuzzi si forma come attore alla scuola di Alessandro Fersen a Roma. La sua attività professionale comincia nel 1975 al teatro Stabile di Bolzano. Negli 1979/80 a Parigi alla scuola di Jacques Lecoq e Carlo Boso prosegue la sua formazione professionale.Nel 1985, dopo 5 anni di Parigi e la collaborazione con diverse compagnie francesi anche come regista, ha la fortuna di avere come maestro lo stesso Dario Fo. Dall’86 al 1992, oltre alla collaborazione come attore con lo Stabile di Bolzano, sostiene diversi ruoli da protagonista nei teatri stabili di Francoforte sul Meno (Germania) e Graz (Austria). Dal 1992 vive e lavora a Berlino come attore e regista.
Dal 2001 al 2006 è responsabile della sezione scenica per i cantanti del conservatorio di Berlino “Hanns Eisler”, dove mette in scena “La serva padrona”, “Falstaff”, “Ariadne a Naxos” e “Don Giovanni”. Dell’anno 2000 sono le messe in scena al Theatersommer Stadt Haag del “Servitore di due padroni” di Goldoni e del “Matrimonio di Figaro” di Beaumarchais. In entrambi gli spettacoli interpreta anche il ruolo principale. Sempre innamorato della cultura e letteratura italiana, e della possibilità di farla conoscere all’estero, torna in scena nel 2008 con “Francesco, giullare di Dio” di Dario Fo e una riduzione per due attori di “Questa sera si recita a soggetto” di Pirandello. Le regie negli anni più recenti sono “George Dandin” di Molière, “Candide” di Voltaire, di cui scrive anche l’adattamento teatrale, e “Mandragola” di Machiavelli, tutti e tre gli spettacoli prodotti dal Monbijou Theater Berlin. Quando non è impegnato come attore o regista tiene corsi per attori per mettere a disposizione delle nuove generazioni un’esperienza maturata in 43 anni di palcoscenico. |
ALBERTO FORTUZZI, born in Naples, had completed his theatre training in Rome with Alessandro Fersen, in Paris with Jacques Lecoq and Carlo Boso, and then in Perugia with Dario Fo. Since then the Commedia dell´ Arte is his beloved home. It has taken him to France, USA, Canada, Poland, Austria, Switzerland and naturally to Germany where he now lives with his familly. The most important theatrical experiences since 1987 were the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt a. M, where Alberto performed for three seasons Arlecchino in the `Servant of Two Masters´ from C. Goldoni, the Schaubühne in Berlin and the Volksbühne Berlin. He later performened `Servant of Two Masters´ for another two seasons at the Schauspielhaus Graz and directed pieces in Austria and Italy. From 1996 until 1999 he performed ´Ruzzante´ from Dario Fo throughout Germany. From the year 2000 the staging at the Theatersommer Stadt Haag of the „Servant of two masters“ of Goldoni and of the „Marriage of Figaro“ of Beaumarchais are staged. In both shows he also plays the main role.From 2001 until 2006 Alberto Fortuzzi is professor for scene studies and director of the department at the Highschool for Music `Hans Eisler´ in Berlin. Here he directed `Il Matrimonio Segreto´ from Cimarossa, `Falstaff´ from Giuseppe Verdi, `Adriane auf Naxos´ from Richard Strauss and `Don Giovanni´ from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
2007 he directs `Impressario from Smyrna´ from Carlo Goldoni at the Landestheater Innsbruck. Always in love with Italian culture and literature, and the possibility of making it known abroad, he returned to the scene in 2008 with Dario Fo’s „Francesco, jester of God“ and a reduction for two actors of „This evening he recites as a subject“ of Pirandello. In 2009, he establishes the group `Lazzo Mortale´ and directs and performs `George Dandin´ from Moliere, a co-production with the Hexenkessel Hoftheater Berlin. Alberto writes and directs `The Island of the Chosen´ in 2010, an adaptation from texts of Marivaux, for the Westbahn Theater in Innsbruck. In the summer of 2010 he directs `Casanova´ from Lortzing, production being Oper Oder-Spree. From 2010 Alberto Fortuzzi is appointed teacher of Commedia dell´Arte at the University for Music and Theatre in Hamburg. In March 2011 he establishes with Matthew Burton the `International School of Commedia dell’Arte Berlin. In recent years he has staged Voltaire’s „Candide“, of which he has also written the theatrical adaptation, and Machiavelli’s „Mandragola“, all three shows produced by the Monbijou Theater in Berlin. When he is not busy as an actor or director he teaches courses for actors to provide the new generations with experience gained over 43 years on stage. |

Die Commedia dell’Arte ist seitdem sein geliebtes Zuhause. Die Commedia dell’Arte führte ihn nach Frankreich, USA, Kanada, Polen, Osterreich, Schweiz und natürlich Deutschland, wo er heute mit seiner Familie auch lebt.
Die wichtigsten Stationen in Deutschland waren 1987 das Schauspielhaus Frankfurt a.M., wo Alberto spielte für drei Spielzeiten hintereinander Arlecchino in „Diener zweier Herren“ von C. Goldoni, die Schaubühne Berlin und die Volksbühne Berlin. „Diener zweier Herren“ hat er für zwei weitere Spielzeiten am Schauspielhaus Graz gespielt und in Österreich und Italien inszeniert. Vom 1996 bis 1999 spielt er auch in ganz Deutschland „Ruzzante“ von Dario FoVom 2001 bis 2006 ist Alberto Fortuzzi Professor für Szenischen Unterricht und Leiter des Fachgebiets an der HfM „Hanns Eisler“ Berlin gewesen. Dort inszenierte „Il matrimonio segreto“ von Cimarosa, „Falstaff“ von G. Verdi, „Ariadne auf Naxos“ von R. Strauss und „Don Giovanni“ von W.A. Mozart. 2007 inszeniert er „Impresario von Smyrna“ von C. Goldoni am Landestheater Innsbruck. 2008 ist er wieder Schauspieler mit dem Theater Rotwelsch mit dem Stück „Francesco, Gaukler Gottes“ von Dario Fo. 2009 inszeniert und spielt „Georg Dandin“ von Moliere mit ‚Lazzo Mortale – Commedia dell’Arte Ensemble‘, von ihm gegründet, in Koproduktion mit Hexenkesselhoftheater Berlin. 2010 schreibt und inszeniert „Die Insel der Erlesenen“, eine Bearbeitung von Texten von Marivaux, für das Westbahn Theater in Innsbruck. Zum Sommer 2010 gehört die Regie von „Casanova“ von A. Lortzing, Produktion Oper Oder Spree.
Ab September 2010 ist Alberto Fortuzzi Lehrbeauftragter für das Fach ‚Commedia dell’Arte‘ an der Theaterakademie der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg.
Im März 2011 gründet mit Matthew Burton die ‚International School of Commedia dell’Arte Berlin‚.
Im Sommer/Herbst 2011 spielt er den Hauptmann im „Revisor“ von Gogol, Regie Gunter Seidler und fängt an, im Auftrag vom Hexenkessel Hoftheater und der Stiftung preußische Schlösser und Gärten eine szenische Fassung des Romans von Voltaire „Candide“ zu schreiben und zu inszenieren.
„Candide“ wird dann am 20. Mai 2012 im Schloss Sanssouci für das Jubiläum „300 Jahre Friedrich der Große“ uraufgeführt und dann im Amphitheater vom Hexenkessel Hoftheater in Berlin weiter gespielt.
Für den Sommer 2013 ist Alberto von der Toronto University und der Shakespeare Company Stratford Canada für eine Reihe von Workshops eingeladen.
